Letter of Forewarning

Dear Students,

This letter is to inform you that some of the literature that we will be reading in class may contain sensitive content that can be triggering for some. I am including this content in my class because the literature also speaks to topics designed to educate and support students and help them grow as individuals. The material discussed in this class has been approved by NM Board of Education, APS, and the New Mexico Public Education Department. The lessons will follow the state education standards and are designed to be fair and appropriate for your grade level. If you have any major concerns with the material, please talk to me and together we can come up with a solution. My focus will always be in favor of making you, the student, feel welcome in my class.
